BRAVE ENOUGH FOR CHILDREN

The first book, in a series of six, will get children, and parents, talking together about their feelings!

How? Harriet's Bad Hair Day introduces the 3W's and Truth to your child, and includes parenting tips for implementing the age appropriate Feeling Wheels which is included in the book!

We also have a new website designed just for YOU AND YOUR CHILD! Why another website? We want to offer free resources, for both you and your child, so that you can continue to open up discussions with your child. We imagine you or your child saying, "Let's Talk Feelings!"

HERE'S MORE ABOUT THIS FIRST BOOK CALLED HARRIET'S BAD HAIR DAY!

Harriet just knows that she will embarrass herself if she plays in today’s soccer game. Her unruly hair will get in the way, and then everyone will laugh at her. How can she trust her hair to stay put when it’s a mess before they even get out the door? Instead of telling anyone about her fears, Harriet shoves her hair under her cap and comes up with a plan to get out of the game. When they arrive late, Harriet is relieved. She’s ready to cheer on her teammates. But then she’s called to play in the game! Will she be brave enough to face her fears?

WHAT CAN PARENTS EXPECT!

Harriet’s story shows children ages five to eight that even though we sometimes encounter scary obstacles, we should always be brave enough to try. The included discussion guide for adults explains how children form their narratives about themselves and others. It provides adults with easy-to-follow tips for creating a safe place for children to share feelings and emotions.
